Source: OPEC+ can prolong debt compensation steps till Oct

MOSCOW, Apr 1 (PRIME) -- The joint ministerial monitoring committee of the OPEC plus deal recommended on Wednesday prolonging the current mechanism of voluntary extra restrictions to compensate for arrears under the deal until October, a source in one of the delegations told PRIME on Thursday.

"Concerning compensation of restrictions, the committee recommended prolonging the mechanism until the end of September," the source said.

A meeting of the committee took place on Wednesday, the compensation mechanism was the main issue on agenda. The sources told PRIME that the alliance will continue to discuss the issue at 3:00 p.m., Moscow time, on Thursday.
